Paracho, Michoacán - Mexico's Guitar Town Somewhere in the highlands of Michoacan sits the village of Paracho, known throughout Mexico as the source of guitarras (guitars). As we entered the town, guitar shops off all caliber lined the streets. Mexican guitars in a tremendous range of prices and quality were available. Prices ranged from about $20 dollars, to $3,000. We arrived on independence day, so many shops and all of the workshops were closed. However, this will be motivation for us to return to Paracho!
